What is Hyaluronic Acid and what are the Benefits?
Hyaluronic acid is a clear substance that is naturally produced by your body. The largest amounts of it are found in your skin, connective tissue and eyes. Its main function is to retain water to keep your tissues well lubricated and moist. HA helps retain over 1,000 times its weight in water within the cells of skin, making it an excellent moisturizer.
Scientific studies have shown that (HA) helps improve skin hydration and production of collagen, fight free radicals, maintain skin elasticity, and even has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties that help with wound healing. Yes, Please!!
With the natural aging process and exposure to things like ultraviolet radiation from the sun, tobacco smoke and pollution can decrease its amounts in the skin, this is where your serums come into play. There are both high and low molecular weight (HA), which means that low molecular weight (HA) can hydrate deeper than high molecular weight (HA), which holds onto water at the surface of the skin.
Our new Tetrapeptide Hydrating Serum –
Contains both high and low molecular weight (HA), as well as other skin-boosting ingredients like:
- Organicals Dew Drops – A blend of sea minerals and hyaluronic acid to help boost
and retain moisture content.
- SyniorageTM – A Tetrapeptide, showing improvement of epidermal cohesion, skin firmness and elasticity, as well as a refined skin texture.
- Organic Inca Inchi Lipactive® – Oil, rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9, protects and softens skin by preserving the natural lipid balance.
This serum is great for all skin types! Apply a few pumps to your entire face, neck, and decolletage after cleansing am/pm. Finish the routine with your preferred moisturizer.
